In 2005 more than 29,000 applicants took and failed state bar exams in the United States.

The essays are half the exam. Are you ready?

Over the Bar Exam is an on-line preparatory course that focuses exclusively on the essay portion of the bar exam. Founded and taught by Peter M. Halden, Esquire, who spent 11 years as an award-winning journalist before embarking on a 30-year legal career, the course is based on his experience both preparing and grading bar exam essays from 1985 to 2007.

As you prepare for the most important examination of your professional life, it is critical to understand that while knowledge of substantive law is necessary to pass the essay portion, it is not, by itself, enough. You must also know how to present your response to each of the seven core questions on:

  • Torts
  • Contracts
  • Criminal Law
  • Evidence
  • Property
  • Constitutional Law
  • Civil Procedure

Mr. Halden’s one-on-one approach is the closest thing to having a private tutor, instructing you throughout the preparatory period . . . when you need it, as you need it.
